Torvald Klaveness to implement VesselMan for condition based maintenance

Norwegian fleet management software company VesselMan has announced the signing of a contract with Oslo-headquartered shipping company Torvald Klaveness, to provide a range of digital tools supporting its planned maintenance activities.

The implementation project will deliver a Cloud-based management platform that will offer improved control of condition-based asset monitoring onboard the Klaveness fleet.

This platform will be used to collect data from a variety of different providers, where it can be transformed into planned management system (PMS) work orders when required.

The ultimate goal in introducing the system is to support a high level of automation in the condition-based maintenance of assets, replacing manual processes where possible.

“This platform will give us a detailed overview of the different components in our fleet, a direct insight into reported component conditions, which enables us to take immediate action if needed,” said Jan Erik Rogde, General Manager at Klaveness Ship Management.
