Maersk to roll-out MariApps

A.P. Moller-Maersk has agreed a new deal with maritime software provider MariApps, a part of Schulte Group, to deploy its PAL NG application across the Maersk owned container fleet.

PAL NG is the latest version of MariApp’s ship management application, smartPAL. The system is cloud-based and mobile-accessible, with functionality for both shore-based and vessel users across its range of more than 30 integrated modules.

This includes areas such as purchasing, HSEQ, crewing, finance, technical and commercial management.

Maersk will implement PAL NG across its owned fleet of approximately 330 container vessels, consolidating its multiple existing systems into a single, scalable platform.

“Operational excellence is a key strategic priority of ours, and we are constantly on the lookout for technology and innovation that can improve efficiency and the ways we work,” said Kristian Brauner, Head of Fleet Operations West at Maersk.

“By updating our platform for our fleet of more than 300 owned vessels, we will not only streamline our processes but also significantly enhance the user experience for our teams both onboard and ashore.”
