BW LPG to implement Achilles platform for supply chain ESG data management

Very large gas carrier (VLGC) owner and operator BW LPG has partnered with technology company Achilles to deliver data-driven management of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) processes across its global supply chain.

The Achilles platform offers a range of tolls used to manage regulatory compliance with schemes including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which require reporting of environmental and social metrics.

“Partnering with Achilles aligns perfectly with our newly developed supplier code of ethics and plastic reduction programmes,” said Rick Ackermann, Head of Procurement at BW LPG.

“Achilles’ expertise in proactively validating and managing suppliers and ensuring adherence to high ESG standards is invaluable to us. This collaboration will undoubtedly transform our supply chain, making it a model of sustainability and resilience while reinforcing our dedication to responsible business practices.”

“Achilles’ support in validating our suppliers’ credentials and ensuring compliance with international standards is pivotal for BW LPG. This partnership not only strengthens our supply chain but also aligns seamlessly with our strategic goals of achieving sustainability and operational excellence.”
