Ernst Russ implements chartering invoicing tool

Ship owner Ernst Russ has implemented a new application to manage automatic generation of hire invoices based on charter party details, following the completion of a deployment project with software provider Ankeri.

Ernst Russ has used Ankeri’s platform since 2021, for management of operational data, workflows, regulatory compliance, charter party contracts and EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) reporting.

The company approached Ankeri with a request to expand its use of platform and add an automation tool that could generate sequences of hire invoices based on agreed charter party terms, add costs, automatically deduct off-hires, and generate statements of accounts.

“Ankeri has significantly improved our data management at Ernst Russ, giving us complete control and reliable, consolidated view of our fleet. Everything is seamlessly connected across modules such as charter party management, CII and EU ETS monitoring. By integrating with Ankeri’s Data Connections Hub, a cloud-based data storage infrastructure, we can easily connect data and convert it into formats that we can process and use in our systems, such as vessel performance and consumption monitoring,” said Selin Pektas, Chartering/Operations Manager at Ernst Russ.

“Before joining forces with Ankeri, we relied on spreadsheets and extracting data from various systems, which was difficult to manage, costly, and inefficient. Ankeri has eliminated the need for these disparate tools. Consequently, collaboration across departments at Ernst Russ has strengthened, making our workflow more transparent and efficient. “

“Through our partnership with Ankeri, Ernst Russ was able to identify and harness automation potential from the invoicing processes. Using Ankeri’s capability to auto-generate hire invoices, capture several expenses and summarise for a complete account overview, we have been able to streamline our current processes further. The flexibility and modular structure of Ankeri’s platform helped this transition to happen in a very short time.”
