SpecTec partners with Procureship and Source2Sea on procurement

SpecTec has announced new agreements with maritime procurement technology providers Procureship and Source2Sea to integrate its applications with its new partners’ respective platforms.

The deal with Procureship will see its e-procurement system integrated with SpecTec’s AMOS Procurement and Logistics software, to allow AMOS users to access its digital marketplace of marine suppliers and service providers, and to conduct procurement processes directly via Procureship’s procurement cycle optimisation tool.

In addition, Procureship will also offer real-time market analytics and reporting features to AMOS users.

“Procureship continues to provide critical support to ship owners and managers by bringing a data-driven approach to the marine procurement process,” said Grigoris Lamprou, Chief Executive Officer of Procureship.

“Our partnership with SpecTec Group will enable a greater number of vessel owners and operators to access critical data to make more informed decisions on their purchasing needs and support their day-to-day operations.”

“We look forward to working closely with the expert team at SpecTec and further enhancing the procurement process for ship owners all over of the world.”

SpecTec AMOS users will also now gain access to the Source2Sea platform following a separate agreement, with its integrated online catalogues including images, product descriptions, prices and other information about items for procurement. Users can maintain full transparency on spending within the software, with specific data about products purchased and suppliers engaged.

“The feedback we get from our users on the usability and transparency of our platform is really great, and when they start getting transactions through and see the aggregated data, they get even more excited,” said Mikael Weis, CEO, Source2Sea.

“A typical question we get is ‘What is the cost of an average provisions ‘basket’ in a given port?’ Purchasers are now able to break this spend down to individual specific items.”

“The value of having access to such specific and detailed data is unique and enables purchasers to make the right data driven decisions, which they have not been able to in the past. In Source2Sea, we are super happy that we are integrated with SpecTec to be able to deliver additional value to the many SpecTec users at sea or on shore.”
