GeoServe buys SHINC

Maritime tech company GeoServe reports that it has reached an agreement to acquire UK-based SHINC, in a strategic move towards the development of a fully integrated data-driven voyage management ecosystem.

Founded in 2019, GeoServe offers a range of voyage management applications covering vessel performance, emissions management, bunker procurement, laytime services, and port disbursement management.

This will now be complemented by SHINC’s SaaS laytime management platform, which digitalises laytime calculation processes using AI and data analysis to support operations and chartering departments in making more informed commercial decisions.

“This acquisition is more than a strategic move – it is a commitment in simplifying one of the most challenging aspects of maritime operations,” said Sanjay Kapoor, CEO of GeoServe.

“By integrating SHINC’s expertise with our suite of voyage management solutions, we are paving the way for a seamless, digital, and data-driven future in this segment.”
