Tidalis buys Made Smart Group

Tidalis, a provider of software systems for port, coastal and waterway authorities and pilot organisations, has acquired Made Smart Group (MSG), an Amsterdam-based provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) nautical information products.

MSG supports customers in the offshore construction, salvage, tug, pilot, shipping and hull-insurance industries, as well as surveillance authorities, supplying products including nautical charts, bathymetry, weather, oceanographic, tide, currents, vessel positions and tracks.

The company also specialises in helping customers make use of their Geographic Information Systems.

Tidalis says that MSG’s offerings are complementary to its own, and that the companies share a selection of common customers. MSG’s founders and management team will continue to lead the company under the new ownership.

“This acquisition is not just about merging capabilities. It marks a powerful new chapter for the maritime industry,” said Ivo-Paul Tummers, CEO at Tidalis.

“By uniting our strengths, we are positioned to drive the future of maritime technology and operations, strengthening our market leadership and accelerating innovation across the maritime and port sectors.”
