Solvang has signed an agreement to equip its fleet with Inmarsat Maritime’s NexusWave bonded connectivity service, to support both crew and business communication.
The service will be deployed across Solvang’s six semi-refrigerated ethylene carriers, eight large gas carriers, and 13 very large gas carriers, including seven newbuilds.
NexusWave integrates multiple network underlays, including LEO, GEO, LTE, and L-band, into a single bonded connection, providing maximum download speeds of up to 340 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 80 Mbps, with the system dynamically adjusting traffic routing to maintain stable connections.
