Tradeworks.vc invests $100k in SailorsCart.com

Supply chain and logistics venture capital firm Tradeworks.vc reports that it has made a $100,000 investment in SailorsCart.com, a Singapore-based e-commerce platform providing shipboard deliveries for seafarers.

The funding will be used for the development of a digital platform, to improve delivery operations in Singapore, and to support expansion to other ports.

Launched in 2023 by Capt Akee Sharma, SailorsCart.com allows seafarers to order personal items such as toiletries and electronics for direct delivery to ships during port calls. The service has made deliveries to approximately 70 vessels since November of last year.

“SailorsCart.com offers a simple yet effective solution to improving the lives of seafarers by giving them access to the mod cons land lovers take for granted,” said Niklas Holck, CEO at Tradeworks.vc.

“We see clear synergies with a number of our PortCos, and we’re excited to provide hands-on support for their growth.”
