Wilson adopts Tilla to manage crew changes across 101 vessels

Norwegian shipping company Wilson is set to implement Tilla Technologies’ crew change management system across its full fleet of 101 vessels from May 2025, the companies report.

The decision follows the platform’s deployment by Stödig Ship Management, which manages crewing for part of Wilson’s fleet.

Wilson operates one of Europe’s largest short sea fleets, moving around 13 million tonnes of dry cargo annually with more than 10,000 port calls. Its fleet of mini bulkers ranges from 1,500 to 8,500 DWT, with calls at both major hubs and smaller European ports.

Tilla’s system will be used to deliver automation across the crew change workflow, from planning through to invoicing, with the platform providing crewing teams with real-time visibility into schedules, bookings and costs.

“We expect Tilla to simplify operations, reduce costs, and give our teams more time to focus on what really matters,” said Bjørn Thore Seljelid, Head of Crewing at Wilson.

“The ability to plan and manage crew changes in one system, with real-time data and complete transparency, is a key step in our digitisation efforts.”

Tilla’s platform integrates with existing crew management systems and external data sources including vessel schedules, crew databases, and flight information. The system also connects with global travel agencies to automate bookings and manage third-party providers.
