Smart Ship Hub integrates with DNV Veracity platform

Smart Ship Hub has integrated its Vessel Reporting System (VRS) with DNV’s Veracity platform, to automate data validation and improve reporting workflows for users of its systems.

The newly integrated set-up has been implemented by Smart Ship Hub customer Norse Ship Management, which claims to have delivered a 55% improvement in efficiency by streamlining its compliance processes and reducing administrative complexity.

The VRS technology automates noon reporting and vessel data management and can be remotely installed on vessel PCs. It includes classification society-specific templates and operates using a three-tiered validation process to improve data accuracy and consistency.

By linking VRS with Veracity, Norse can operate an automated reporting workflow with DNV-specific templates and built-in data connectivity, enabling consistent transmission of verified data from ship to shore.

“Our DCS reporting process has never been this easy and streamlined,” said Akshay Yadav, Managing Director of Norse Ship Management.

“With multi-level validation, the data flow to DNV’s Veracity platform and report generation is now in fast, gets completed with every voyage and ensures error-free submission, saving manhours and optimising our shore resources effectively.”
