U-Ming partners with UniSea for digital operations upgrade

U-Ming Marine Transport Corporation has agreed a deal to implement a range of software modules from UniSea to support the next phase of its digitalisation strategy.

The Taiwan-based dry bulk operator, a subsidiary of the Far Eastern Group, will adopt an integrated set of management tools covering safety, compliance, and operational processes, aimed at replicating daily routines with improved efficiency across both fleet and shore-based operations.

“The reason for selecting UniSea is to utilise industry leading software to help drive our ambitious digitalisation path, afloat and ashore, as a key part of achieving real transformational engagement and operational excellence,” said C.K. Ong, President of U-Ming Marine.

The agreement represents one of UniSea’s largest deployments to date, covering functions including risk assessment, crew management, and compliance documentation. U-Ming aims to use the system to improve workflows and gain greater visibility across its operations.
