Abu Dhabi-based Al Seer Marine, a subsidiary of International Holding Company (IHC), has announced the deployment of an AI-powered, non-voting observer on its board of directors.
The system, developed by Aleria, will provide live boardroom queries, predictive modelling, budgeting support, and automated oversight of Al Seer Marine’s subsidiaries and joint ventures.
NOVA integrates financial, operational, and market data to generate real-time insights, with applications in vessel readiness, operational safety, and predictive fleet performance. Al Seer Marine says the deployment will support cost optimisation, improve governance, and streamline shipbuilding projects and supply chain management.
“AI is becoming foundational to Al Seer Marine’s operational DNA. From fleet management and shipbuilding to USVs and advanced manufacturing, we are integrating AI across every facet of our operations,” said Guy Neivens, Chief Executive Officer of Al Seer Marine.
“The power of AI enables us to maximise efficiency, improve safety, and elevate performance across all areas of our business. The launch of NOVA represents the next step in this journey, turning data into real-time intelligence that strengthens both our day-to-day operations and our long-term competitiveness.”
The launch builds on IHC’s earlier work with Aiden Insight to introduce what is said to be the UAE’s first on-premise AI board observer in 2024, with the technology now being extended to its maritime operations.
