ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S) reports that it has rolled out an artificial intelligence (AI) system to optimise petroleum port operations across the UAE, in partnership with port technology provider Innovez One.
The Smart Port system is claimed to reduce service sourcing time for vessels from three hours to 45 seconds and is expected to save 3,000 hours annually. ADNOC L&S estimates this will deliver operational savings of $950,000 (AED3.5 million) by 2028.
Jetty utilisation is also forecast to rise by 20%, contributing to a projected 10% improvement in vessel management efficiency.
The AI-based technology has now been deployed at petroleum ports including Das, Zirku, Mubaraz, Ruwais, and Jebel Dhana, allowing for real-time tracking of marine activity and automated resource allocation.
“The deployment of the smart port solution across our petroleum ports in the UAE, underscores our commitment to harnessing AI, as we continue to invest in innovation to optimise our operations and drive further value for our business and customers,” said Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC L&S.
