Brazil-based offshore operator Seagems has renewed and expanded its Lifecycle Agreement with Wärtsilä to cover the company’s entire fleet of offshore support vessels, with a broader focus on the use of predictive maintenance and digital monitoring to improve reliability and reduce emissions.
Under the new contract, Seagems will implement Wärtsilä’s Expert Insight predictive maintenance system, which uses real-time vessel data to identify potential equipment issues before they disrupt operations, allowing maintenance teams to act proactively.
The agreement also includes upgraded power and control management software, cloud-based data collection, and remote monitoring. Together, these systems will provide Seagems with continuous visibility into vessel performance and fuel efficiency.
“Over the years, Wärtsilä has delivered high quality, value-adding services to our offshore support vessels,” said Ricardo Bicudo, COO, Seagems.
“The renewal and expansion of the existing agreement will support our long-term operational goals for these vessels, particularly in enhancing efficiency, reliability and sustainability.”
