Marcura and CFARER partner on maritime procurement and dry-docking

Marcura and CFARER have agreed a strategic partnership to connect e-commerce procurement with technical operations for fleets worldwide.

Under the deal, Marcura subsidiary ShipServ will become the recommended e-commerce platform for Ship Manager Procurement, which supports around 2,000 vessels. The partnership also brings VesselMan to CFARER customers for digital dry-docking, inspections, and technical project execution.

The integration of ShipServ with Ship Manager Procurement offers direct access to more than 50,000 pre-vetted suppliers from within existing workflows. Compliance checks, benchmarking, and e-invoicing are automated, with AI-driven insights highlighting suppliers based on performance history and reliability.

“Procurement teams need control and timely access to the right suppliers,” said Sharon Gill, Senior Vice President, Commercial and Partner Alliances, Marcura.

“This partnership delivers both. A number of major shipping companies are already using ShipServ integrated with Ship Manager Procurement. We are now extending this capability to CFARER’s broader client base together.”

Both companies will coordinate onboarding for joint clients, with CFARER recommending ShipServ for procurement and offering VesselMan for digitised technical projects.

CFARER is an independent software business recently spun off from DNV.
