Krey Schiffahrt is set to deploy Inmarsat Maritime’s NexusWave connectivity service to support operations across four newbuild project cargo carriers, as the German ship manager expands its heavy lift fleet.
The vessels, which are currently under construction, feature optimised hull forms and new propulsion arrangements intended to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 35% compared with equivalent tonnage.
NexusWave will be used to provide always-on connectivity to support performance monitoring, energy management and digital vessel operations across global trading routes.
Krey Schiffahrt currently manages eight multi-purpose heavy lift vessels and is expanding its fleet in response to increasing demand for project cargo transport.
