Signal Ocean acquires AXSMarine

Signal Ocean has announced the strategic acquisition of AXSMarine, with the aim of combining its own data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities with AXSMarine’s established market presence.

The combined product portfolio now includes AXSDry and Alphaliner, alongside voyage and ship management Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems developed by affiliates NextVoyage Maritime and Shiplex. With this integration, the group now supports more than 1,500 clients across the global shipping ecosystem.

“We have immense respect for AXSMarine’s achievements – both in the strength of its products, like AXSDry and Alphaliner, and its position in the market,” said Ioannis Martinos, CEO of Signal Ocean.

Shipbroking organisation BRS Group, a long-term user of both platforms, has transferred its interest in AXSMarine to Signal Ocean as part of the agreement, with BRS Group also investing in Signal Ocean and taking a seat on its board.

The companies note that existing tools and data services will remain operational for current users. AXSMarine will continue to focus on its specialised ship chartering and freight tools as the integration process continues throughout 2026, with the companies working to align their data sets.
