Skarv Shipping to deploy fleet performance and reporting platform

Skarv Shipping has agreed a deal to implement Oceanly Performance Plus as its fleet performance and vessel reporting platform. The system is being deployed with automatic data integration to support data-driven fleet operations and long-term digital scalability.

The technology will allow Skarv Shipping to integrate sensor data directly into vessel reporting, creating a consistent data layer across its fleet.

Through Application Programming Interface (API) data sharing, operational data can be distributed to technical, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders. This process is intended to reduce manual reporting tasks both on board and ashore while improving the quality and traceability of information.

The Oceanly platform provides performance analytics and configurable reporting to monitor vessel performance and support fuel optimisation. Its architecture is designed to accommodate new data sources as propulsion technologies and regulatory frameworks change over time.

“High-quality, structured data is critical for both operational decision-making and the introduction of new propulsion technologies,” said Øyvind Monsen, Head of Digital and Performance at Skarv Shipping AS.

“Oceanly enables us to automate data capture from onboard systems, reduce manual work and ensure that reliable data is available across technical, commercial and regulatory workflows.”

Skarv Shipping AS is a joint venture (JV) between Norwegian shipowners Peak CSL and Grieg Maritime Group. During 2026, the company is scheduled to take delivery of four 7,800 deadweight tonnage (dwt) ammonia-ready multipurpose cargo newbuildings from Huanghai Shipbuilding in China.
