EEX Group and Veson Nautical have announced an integration between their respective platforms to improve users’ management of Forward Freight Agreements (FFAs) and provide more accurate mark-to-market valuations of risk positions.
Through the integration, users can now access EEX trade data and pricing information directly within Veson’s IMOS (Integrated Maritime Operations System), simplifying the estimation of carbon emissions and costs within the voyage estimator while removing the need for manual data entry.
The partnership also allows Veson to access European Union Allowance (EUA) Futures trading data for transactions concluded through the Touchpoint system, a web-based trade registration platform used across various markets, including power, natural gas, and dry freight.
“Automated access to EEX pricing and cleared trades not only minimises operational risk but also strengthens the integrity of the decisions our clients make each day,” said Matt Filosa, Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Veson Nautical.
EEX Group currently connects a network of more than 950 trading participants and is part of the Deutsche Börse Group.
