ANELLO Photonics and Mythos AI have announced a collaboration to deploy resilient navigation systems in the maritime sector, combining ANELLO’s Silicon Photonics Optical Gyroscope (SiPhOG) technology with Mythos AI’s autonomy software for positioning in environments where Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are unavailable.
At the centre of the partnership is the ANELLO Maritime Inertial Navigation System (INS), which combines inertial sensing with Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven sensor fusion.
“True autonomy requires more than just sensors – it requires intelligent integration,” said Geoff Douglass, Chief Executive Officer of Mythos AI.
“Working with ANELLO allows us to combine advanced inertial performance with AI-driven decision-making in a way that is practical and scalable for the maritime industry. Together, we are helping platform developers accelerate deployment while strengthening operational resilience.”
The companies expect the initiative to be specifically relevant to the USV market, to provide dependable navigation during offshore energy, maritime security, and environmental monitoring activities.
