OculloSpace partners with Niantic Spatial to expand deployment of digital twins

Singapore-based OculloSpace has announced a strategic partnership with Niantic Spatial to introduce Niantic’s digital twin technology to the maritime industry in Southeast Asia.

The technology integrates data from onboard Internet of Things (IoT) sensors to replicate a vessel’s performance in near real-time. By providing centimetre-level precision, the platform allows operators to monitor assets remotely and conduct simulations without interrupting physical operations.

The company says that the system provides capabilities for predictive maintenance to identify potential issues before they occur as well as supporting operational optimisation to reduce vessel downtime. It also offers scenario testing, which allows operators to simulate environmental or mechanical conditions before implementing changes in the real world.

“By combining our capabilities with Niantic Spatial’s technology, we are bringing greater visibility and real-time intelligence to maritime operations,” said Dr Franco Gan, Founder and CEO of OculloSpace.

“Digital twins give operators the ability to monitor, simulate and optimise their assets with far greater precision; helping improve efficiency, enhance safety, and support the industry’s transition towards more sustainable operations.”

Niantic Spatial is an American-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) company that deploys spatial intelligence across various sectors, including robotics and logistics.
