Maritime technology providers Sedna and GeoServe have launched a new integrated application to bring Port Disbursement Account (DA) approvals directly into operational email communications.
The new integration surfaces live DA data, including cost breakdowns, screened amounts, and agent bank details, directly within the side panel of the email platform. This allows operations teams to access necessary context without leaving their inbox.
“GeoServe has built something that genuinely belongs inside the inbox. Together we’re making DA approval faster, cleaner, and fully accountable. No one needs to change how they work,” said Bill Dobie, Founder and CEO of Sedna.
The newly integrated side panel will allow users to establish payment controls, select advance percentages, and approve or reject port DAs with a single click. Every action is immediately recorded back to the voyage operations platform to maintain a complete audit trail.
When a job tag is applied to a DA email within the platform, a structured panel opens to display live data pulled directly from the system. This enables teams to review full cost breakdowns, screened amounts, and confirmed Proforma Disbursement Account (PDA) and Final Disbursement Account (FDA) figures side by side.
Users can also set advance percentages, value dates, and remarks directly from the shared inbox.

“Embedding GeoServe directly into the Sedna inbox means operations teams can review, decide, and move on without the back and forth. That’s time back on every voyage.”
The integration represents the initial phase of a broader partnership between the two companies, with future updates planned to cover vessel performance, laytime and demurrage, and bunker management.
