Achilles has launched Action Plans, a new module that allows procurement and supply chain teams to manage corrective actions arising from supplier assurance assessments.
The system enables buyers to create improvement plans based on identified risks or performance issues, with actions and timescales tailored to the supplier, the severity of the issue and the organisation’s own policies and risk requirements.
Issues covered can include health and safety, sustainability, compliance, financial risk, cyber risk and insurance, with buyers able to monitor progress and review evidence submitted by suppliers through to completion.
Suppliers can respond directly to actions, raise questions, agree next steps and provide evidence of progress, giving both parties visibility of the remediation process and creating an auditable record from the original finding through to closure.
“Identifying supplier risk is important, but the real value comes from what you do with that insight,” said Mark Chamberlain, Chief Product Officer at Achilles.
“Action Plans helps organisations bridge the gap between identifying an issue and addressing it. Buyers can set clear expectations, suppliers can demonstrate the action they have taken, and both sides have visibility of progress. It turns supplier assurance from a point-in-time assessment into a practical process for reducing risk and building more resilient supply chains.”
