UK-based maritime data provider Theyr has launched its new AI-powered T-VOS voyage optimisation system, developed in collaboration with the University of Southampton and the Alan Turing Institute.
T-VOS is described as a multi-objective genetic-algorithm AI-based voyage optimisation application, with data insights delivered to users via API. The system analyses various data sources to simultaneously optimise for best fuel, best time, speed and Time Charter Equivalent (TCE).
Integrated data sources include Theyr’s high-fidelity Met-Ocean Rapid Data Access Service (RDAS) integrated with navigation safety parameters, including traffic separation schemes, ECAs and other navigational restraints.
