Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company (AMPTC) has completed the implementation of StormGeo’s environmental performance management system across its entire fleet, having agreed a three-year agreement to use the software on all of its tanker vessels.
“At AMPTC, we perform intensive market research on the solutions available before we reach a decision on whom we will partner with,” said Abdul Shahid Khashan, Technical Manager at AMPTC.
“After months of analysis and market surveys, we couldn’t find a better, more efficient solution than StormGeo’s Fleet Performance Management to partner with and use on board our fleet of tankers. We are happy to start this long-term relationship and look forward to expanding our usage of the platform as it develops and grows.”
StormGeo’s technology will be integrated into AMPTC’s wider voyage performance optimisation toolkit, to improve data quality and management and to assist in maintaining compliance with sustainability regulations. This is especially important in light of the recent introduction of IMO’s Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) regulations.
“It is our pleasure at StormGeo to welcome AMPTC as a new client from Middle East,” said Hesham Moustafa, StormGeo’s representative in Dubai.
“We see and value the importance of helping Middle East shipowners and charterers achieve their GHG targets by supporting them with our latest technologies and services that will benefit both our planet and the maritime industry for a greener future. We are ready to bring value to the AMPTC’s fleet with accurate and reliable data and expertise that proved to show results.”
