ClassNK has introduced a new range of e-Learning courses offering an introductory course covering the foundational and technical knowledge required for professionals and stakeholders in the shipping and shipbuilding industries.
The courses will be offered through the class society’s training and education service, ClassNK Academy, split into four separate modules.
The introductory course delivers a broad overview of the shipping and shipbuilding sectors, suitable for newcomers to the industry, followed by three specialised courses on Stability, covering buoyancy principles and both intact and damaged stability; Propulsive Performance, detailing the basics of propeller operation, hull form impact, and efficiency enhancements; and Structure and Strength, addressing load considerations and assessment of hull integrity.
Upon completion of the courses participants will be awarded a certificate acknowledging their achievement. For companies, the platform also allows for the monitoring and assessment of employee learning progress.
Registration for the courses is now available via the ClassNK Academy e-Learning website, priced at ¥10,000 (approx. US$70) per module.
