Norbulk Shipping has announced the successful rollout of new software system to manage digitalised SIRE 2.0 self-assessment inspection processes across its fleet of 27 tanker vessels.
The company will use Kaiko Systems’ SIRE 2.0 application to manage compliance with the updated ship inspection requirements when the new rules go live in September this year.
Norbulk is also now planning to implement Kaiko Systems’ Port State Control (PSC) preparation software across its fleet, covering a total of 60 ships including both dry and wet fleet vessels.
“We anticipate that Kaiko Systems will significantly improve our Port State Control performance and RightShip scores, directly impacting our operational efficiency and safety standards,” said Walter Woodage, Director and General Manager at Norbulk Shipping UK Ltd.
“This initiative is crucial for maintaining our reputation and competitiveness in the industry.”
The applications will be used to reduce administrative burdens for crew by enabling inspections and reporting directly via mobile devices, providing shore-side teams with standardised data and insights into vessel conditions for proactive management.
“At Kaiko Systems, we are dedicated to help shipping companies foster a culture of proactive issue reporting and continuous learning,” said Fabian Fussek, Co-Founder & CEO of Kaiko Systems.
“By addressing reporting challenges and reinforcing proper procedures, we aim to support Norbulk in achieving higher standards of fleet performance and safety.”
