Star Information Systems agrees cyber partnership

Maritime software company Star Information Systems (STAR) reports that it has agreed a new partnership with Secure Practice to strengthen cybersecurity across the company.

This partnership aims to meet growing customer demand for secure data management and improved cybersecurity, while also delivering internal IT security training by Secure Practice and assistance in management of phishing emails targeting the company.

“Secure Practice excels in cybersecurity by focusing on the human element. They integrate advanced solutions into our operations, ensuring comprehensive security awareness training for employees and customers,” said Ken Robin Sivertsvik, IT Manager at Star Information Systems.

Secure Practice’s training programmes will be designed to give SIS employees the knowledge to identify and respond to potential cyber threats effectively, to minimise potential damage. The training is planned to be part of a continuous learning cycle to also help the company to stay ahead of evolving threats in the future.

“Star Information Systems understands the critical role people play for security in their organisation and products. We are happy to work together with a passion for building resilience through good security conversations and security decisions among employees every day,” said Erlend Andreas Gjære, Co-founder and CEO of Secure Practice.
