Saudi Arabia’s Arrowad Group has signed a joint collaboration agreement with Finnish tech company Awake.AI, to support further development of the country’s transportation sector and promote sustainable, smart maritime logistics.
The partnership aims to leverage AI to improve efficiency, focusing on optimised operations planning, vessel tracking and emissions analysis, as well as the development of smart digital platforms to share data with relevant stakeholders.
Arrowad Group was founded in 1990 and is made up of a collection of autonomous institutions operating in the areas of education, consultation, training, and information technology. The Group has previously worked with the Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning on projects related to improving the quality of public services.
Awake.AI provides Berth Planning and Prediction systems used to increase utilisation rates at ports by improving collaboration between stakeholders to reduce turnaround times and emissions.
