Danelec has launched a new Data Quality Module for its Fleet Insights platform, aimed at improving the accuracy and reliability of high-frequency vessel data to support emissions reporting and operational decision-making.
The system provides shipowners with tools to validate and monitor incoming sensor data in real time, offering automated checks to detect anomalies and notify users of potential issues before they impact vessel performance or regulatory compliance.
“There’s a growing realisation that more data isn’t always better, especially if its quality cannot be trusted,” said Casper Jensen, CEO at Danelec.
“Our new Data Quality Module equips shipowners with automated validation and monitoring of sensor data, unlocking the full potential of high-frequency insights without compromising trust or accuracy.”
“With the Data Quality Module, fleet managers can now monitor real-time sensor availability, detect anomalies, and receive alerts on potential issues before they impact performance, compliance, or the bottom line.”
Danelec claims that up to 30% of key vessel sensors, such as those measuring Speed Through Water, can return inaccurate values.
