Sedna acquires CompassAir

Sedna reports that it has acquired Athens-based CompassAir to strengthen its presence in the Greek and Norwegian shipping markets and expand its portfolio of e-mail and workflow tools for the maritime industry.

CompassAir provides systems to support Sale & Purchase (SnP) and chartering workflows. Sedna says the acquisition will expand its reach among shipowners and operators while integrating CompassAir’s capabilities into its existing platform, delivering a combined offering supporting real-time communication, SnP and chartering workflows, and fixture execution within a single workspace.

“This acquisition is a powerful extension of our mission to unify global trade through intelligent communication,” said Bill Dobie, Founder and CEO of Sedna.

“CompassAir brings not only proven technology and deep expertise, but also an exceptional team whose values and vision align closely with ours. Together, we will accelerate innovation and raise the standard for digitalisation across the industry.”

CompassAir CEO Yannis Manolessos will take on a senior leadership role within Sedna following the deal.
