OCI FUELS and ZeroNorth complete first digital green methanol delivery in Rotterdam

OCI FUELS has partnered with ZeroNorth to adopt its Electronic Bunker Delivery Note (eBDN) system, completing the first fully digital delivery of green methanol in the Port of Rotterdam.

The delivery, carried out in collaboration with barge operator UniBarge, replaced traditional paperwork with a digital process to streamline operations and improve transparency for all parties.

“This marks the first of many digital green fuel deliveries – and points to the broader change happening in the bunker industry,” said Nicolai Bendixen, Managing Director at ZeroNorth Bunker.

“As the industry adapts to new fuels, regulatory pressure, and growing expectations around transparency, solutions like eBDN will play a key role. We’re proud to support this transformation and grateful to partner with OCI FUELS in making it happen.”

OCI FUELS it plans to roll out the eBDN system across its wider operations as part of its efforts to improve digitalisation and efficiency in alternative fuel supply chains.
