Fincantieri launches AI agent captAIn

Fincantieri reports that it has introduced a proprietary AI agent known as captAIn as part of a wider overhaul of its digital communication strategy.

CaptAIn is an AI-based search and content agent that allows users to access and synthesise information across text, video and document formats from the company’s newly updated website.

The system is built on an agent-based architecture and is designed to provide tailored responses to user queries, dynamically generating content based on available material.

“We have defined a vision that rigorously integrates technology, content, and expertise, allowing us to adopt a more advanced and future-oriented communication model,” said Lorenza Pigozzi, EVP Group Strategic Communication at Fincantieri.

“The new portal fully embodies this trajectory: a contemporary, intuitive platform, enriched by artificial intelligence and driven by data, designed to distinctively enhance our identity and engage with increasingly diverse audiences.”

Fincantieri says more than 60 professionals were involved in the project, contributing over 7,000 hours of development work.
