Smart Ship Hub (SSH) and maritime communications firm ORBYT Global Group have entered a strategic partnership to deliver an integrated, single-window digital platform for shipowners, operators, and charterers, combining onboard software with communications.
The partnership will integrate the SSH data platform with the hybrid Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and Geostationary Orbit (GEO) connectivity provided by ORBYT Global to offer a unified system covering vessel performance monitoring, fleet operations, and emissions reporting from a single auditable data source.
“This partnership moves maritime digitalisation from isolated tools to an integrated operational backbone,” said Joy Basu, Chief Executive Officer of Smart Ship Hub.
“By aligning technology, connectivity and managed services, we enable shipping companies to reduce complexity, improve decision-making and future-proof their fleets for the decade ahead.”
The system will support automated reporting aligned with requirements from the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), and wider Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks.
