Copenhagen-based Tideform has added an Artificial Intelligence (AI) agent named Atlas to its marine fuel intelligence platform, to assist shipping professionals in interpreting volatile bunker markets.
The tool is designed to provide real-time price insights and trend analysis through a messaging interface.
The relaunch of the company’s platform marks a strategic shift under Kenneth Juhls, who now serves as Chief Executive Officer of Tideform in addition to his role as Chief Executive Officer of the digital procurement platform AuctionConnect, with the aim of connecting market intelligence with procurement infrastructure to improve transparency and compliance in the bunker sector.
“Market intelligence and market execution are closely linked,” said Mr Juhls.
“Tideform helps companies interpret market conditions, while AuctionConnect provides the infrastructure for structured bunker procurement. Together, they help bring more informed and efficient bunker procurement to bunker markets.”
The Atlas system combines algorithms with maritime expertise from traders and analysts to process data from traditional and emerging fuels. Tideform structures information from more than 30 million tonnes of bunker deliveries annually across 500 ports, converting market activity into price indications and forward curves for trading and finance teams.
