BW LNG to deploy cloud ERP platform

BW LNG has agreed a contract with BASS Software to implement its cloud-based BASSnet Neo maritime Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform.

The company chose the platform after conducting technical and operational evaluations of different systems, including sandbox testing.

The agreement includes the implementation of core modules such as Maintenance, Materials & Inventory Management, Procurement, and Dry-Docking. BW LNG will also use mobile applications for inventory, inspections, and projects.

“BASS stood out for its modern, future-proof cloud architecture, and also their willingness to work closely with us in the system validation process,” said Harald Martin Myhre, Vice President of IT and Digitalisation at BW LNG.

The technology will be delivered as a fully managed Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, built to comply with cybersecurity standards including ISO 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

“We are extremely proud to have been selected following such a comprehensive and competitive evaluation process,” said Per Steinar Upsaker, CEO and Managing Director at BASS Software.

“This contract underscores the strength of BASSnet Neo’s cloud-native architecture and our ability to support critical LNG and FSRU operations.”
