90POE launches live vessel profit tracking software

90POE has launched Commercial Voyage Management (CVM), a connected group of tools built into its OpenOcean STUDIO platform that aims to unify voyage estimation, chartering execution, and itinerary management.

The CVM modules will allow chartering and operations teams to maintain a live Profit and Loss (P&L) view throughout every voyage, maintaining visibility of the commercial picture after a vessel is fixed by analysing the financial impacts of port delays or bunker overruns as they happen.

The technology integrates the Voyage Estimator, Chartering Voyages, and an improved Vessel Itinerary within the same environment. When a vessel is fixed, the estimate flows into the live voyage record.

Any changes to the itinerary, such as revised Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) details or additional port calls, automatically recalculate Time Charter Equivalent (TCE) earnings in real time.

“We have worked closely with our customers to build Commercial Voyage Management as a single workflow built natively into the platform that operators are already running,” said Abs Kapur, CEO of 90POE.

“With OpenOcean STUDIO operators can now be proactive, diagnose variances to plan and protect their margins while there’s still time to act.”

Other features of the system include automated First In, First Out (FIFO) bunker pricing from linked purchase orders and support for Off Port Limit (OPL) waiting positions, and consolidation of berthing records and historical corrections within the vessel itinerary.

As a voyage progresses, actual data from vessel reports replaces original estimates to reduce the need for manual reconciliation and provide a continuous commercial overview from the first estimate to final accounts.
