Neptune Zero has secured a €500,000 seed investment round to accelerate the development of its maritime reporting and fleet performance platform. The funding round was led by Corallia Ventures TT AKES, with participation from angel investors.
The Athens-based company is building a modular ecosystem that combines onboard hardware, edge computing, and cloud-based analytics to automate vessel reporting. The technology collects and validates operational data using Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to generate daily reports and provide real-time fleet analytics.
The company says that the system can deliver a reduction of up to 3% in fuel consumption and emissions when deployed.
“By combining AI, onboard data capture and real-time analytics, we are enabling shipping companies to reduce fuel consumption, automate reporting and improve onboard and offshore operational efficiency in a measurable way,” said Dr Antonios Lalechos, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Neptune Zero.
The technology can also be employed to assist with management of regulatory compliance, including the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), and the International Maritime Organization Data Collection System (IMO DCS).
The company says that its platform has already been deployed across more than 100 vessels, with a contracted value of €1 million.

The company says it will use the newly secured funding to scale deployments across global fleets, strengthen its engineering teams, and expand its presence in international maritime markets.
