Northern Marine Group joins Achilles network

Northern Marine Group has joined the Achilles network to utilise its supplier prequalification, governance, and compliance capabilities to help meet Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.

The company, which is part of the Stena Group, delivers ship management and marine services to the maritime and offshore industries. Through internal review processes, it identified a need to improve consistency in supplier onboarding and ensure alignment with its own compliance standards.

“Ensuring our supply chain operates to the highest standards of governance and compliance is fundamental to how we do business,” said Joanne Henderson, Strategic Purchasing Manager at Northern Marine Group.

“As our operations grow and we pursue increasingly complex opportunities, it became clear that our existing processes were no longer fit for purpose. Through this partnership, Northern Marine is taking an important step towards digitising its supplier management processes and embedding ESG considerations into everyday decision-making – helping to build a more transparent, responsible, and resilient value chain.”

The platform provides the company with a system to demonstrate compliance and meet the expectations of clients and partners.

“We’re proud to welcome Northern Marine to the Achilles network at a time when supply chain transparency and assurance are more critical than ever in the maritime sector,” said Chris Coyle, Director of Sales at Achilles.
