Maritime data provider Lloyd’s List Intelligence has launched Vessel Due Diligence, an application for marine underwriters and vessel vetters delivered as an add-on module to the company’s Seasearcher maritime intelligence platform.
The platform aims to reduce manual data collection in marine insurance and vessel vetting, including time spent consolidating risk data from multiple sources. Vessel Due Diligence combines risk signals, including dry dock status, machinery condition, inspections, and port call history, into a single operational view to support faster and more consistent fleet screening at scale.
The software features a consolidated operational screening panel that brings together incidents, inspections, deficiencies, seizures, arrests, and classification society and protection and indemnity (P&I) data. It also provides dry dock visibility to help users identify potential operational risks.
Multi-vessel screening and historic port call analysis are included, and the system uses hull risk indicators and behavioural intelligence to highlight operational concerns that might be missed during standard compliance screening.
“Vessel Due Diligence moves our customers from fragmented data to genuine decision-making support,” said Nicola Marlin, Chief Product Officer at Lloyd’s List Intelligence.
“We built it to mirror how underwriters and vetters actually work, so they can make faster, more defensible calls at scale.”
