Robo.ai to establish maritime security and intelligence company

Robo.ai has announced plans to establish Alif Maritec, a wholly owned UAE subsidiary focused on marine security and intelligent maritime infrastructure.

The proposed company will target four areas: maritime protection, smart ports, underwater intelligence and protection of critical infrastructure. Its intended customers include governments and infrastructure operators responsible for ports, coastlines, offshore energy assets and other critical facilities.

Alif Maritec plans to develop underwater barrier and protection systems, port and coastal protection systems and an intelligent monitoring platform. The technology will combine AI and analytics, advanced sensing, marine materials and digital twin capabilities.

The company says it intends to integrate and manufacture its systems in the UAE, initially targeting markets across the Gulf Cooperation Council before expanding internationally.

“Alif Maritec brings our strategy to life: integrating global technology in the UAE, manufacturing in the UAE and delivering solutions for markets worldwide,” said Dr Jasem Al-Mansory, Chief Executive Officer of Alif Holding and Chairman-designate of Alif Maritec.

“This approach closely aligns with the UAE’s national vision. Once established, Alif Maritec will focus on protecting ports, coastlines, offshore energy assets and other critical facilities, both above and below the surface.”

Alif Maritec will form part of Alif Holding, the industrial group established by Robo.ai following its restructuring earlier this year. The group is focused on AI systems and equipment for government, critical infrastructure and industrial applications.
