A group of former Q88 executives have launched Vessel Fact, a maritime compliance and vessel data platform designed to consolidate vessel particulars, certificates and inspection records within a single system.
The company is led by Chief Executive and Co-Founder Stephen Dudzic, who spent 15 years as Q88’s Chief Technology Officer, alongside Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder Catherine Mancuso, Chief Sales Officer Jeroen de Man and Chief Customer Officer Fotis Georgakopoulos.
Vessel Fact is intended to reduce the need for owners and operators to maintain vessel information across multiple questionnaire formats, including HVPQ, SIRE 2.0, CDI and charterer-specific templates.
The system allows users to enter vessel data once and manage certificates, questionnaire data, officer matrices, load line particulars and inspection records from the same environment, with information used to populate individual compliance packages for different counterparties.
The company says discrepancies between vessel particulars and certificates can emerge when information is maintained across non-centralised systems, potentially resulting in delays during vetting or chartering processes.
“We created Vessel Fact to help commercial shipping companies simplify and strengthen the vetting and compliance process,” said Stephen Dudzic, Chief Executive and Co-Founder.
“Vessel Fact provides a single, trusted source for managing ‘vessel facts’, helping ensure that the particulars, reports, and supporting evidence submitted to customers, vetting organisations, and other stakeholders are accurate, consistent, and readily available when critical operational decisions need to be made.”
Vessel Fact has been developed with a syndicating workflow that allows vessel information to be distributed across reporting requirements, while the company will provide customer support through its own staff.

Vessel Fact was soft launched on 2 September and is funded by its partners without outside investment.
