KVH has announced that ioCurrents, a provider of remote vessel analytics services, has joined the KVH Watch Solution Partner programme and will offer KVH connectivity alongside its MarineInsight platform.
MarineInsight uses machine-learning algorithms to support maritime maintenance and fuel optimisation. To date the system has relied on vessels’ existing communications systems for data transfer, but joining the KVH Watch programme will allow dedicated connectivity to be allocated to ioCurrents to move data between ship and shore over the KVH network.
“The ioCurrents MarineInsight platform notifies key stakeholders, onboard and shoreside, when and where to focus with real-time, remote vessel analytics,” said Jon Best, head of partnerships for ioCurrents.
