Navarino launches IT management platform

Navarino has announced the commercial launch of its new Spectrum service, a software package designed and developed by its in-house engineers to support maritime IT managers in managing shipboard networks.

The new system offers a centralised platform for remote monitoring, maintenance and management of a vessel’s onboard IT and connectivity infrastructure, including network devices, satellite terminals, operating systems, applications and security measures. Software updates and patches can also be deployed using the technology.

In addition to providing tools for shore-based management of those systems, Navarino says that Spectrum provides additional options for management of vessel cyber risks in line with IMO’s new cyber regulations coming into effect at the start of 2021.

The new service is deployed onboard ship using Navarino’s Infinity communications management box, with no extra hardware required. Spectrum is compatible with any satcom system, and can be configured to control bandwidth consumption in combination with Infinity.
