The Norwegian branch of energy multinational OMV has agreed a new deal to roll out the Maress software system from Yxney across its fleet, the companies report.
Maress is a digital management toolkit that creates a unique baseline based on historic performance for each activity on the vessel. The cloud-based system offers a real-time overview of the performance of each ship, as well as the overall fleet as a whole.
The software combines available data from the vessel with other relevant data sets to provide recommendations on how to reduce fuel and emissions, and will be used to provide OMV with insight into the fuel performance of its offshore vessels chartered for seasonal work on the Norwegian Shelf.
OMV is the third energy operator to sign up as a Maress customer, joining offshore major Equinor and national independent AkerBP as users of the system. Both of those companies have implemented the software to improve their collaborative capabilities with vessel owners and operators.
“We are excited to get a chance to work with OMV and provide data-driven solutions to underpin their sustainability efforts,” said Yxney CEO Gjord Simen Sanna.
