Maritime communications provider Castor Marine has expanded its range of coastal and offshore connectivity options with the signing of a reseller agreement with Tampnet, the largest offshore 4G LTE network operator in the North Sea.
In the past, vessels supported by Castor Marine automatically switched to VSAT connections within the company’s network when moving outside of shore GSM coverage in the North Sea. With this new agreement those users will have access to wider 4G coverage, allowing them to stay on cellular connections within the Tampnet zone.
