Italian classification society RINA has announced its acquisition of Denmark-based software company Logimatic, which will be fully integrated within the RINA Group following the deal.
RINA has purchased 100% of the share capital of the Danish company, which has an annual turnover of approximately €6 million and nearly 50 employees. The staff will continue to operate within their current structure from offices in Denmark, Singapore and Chile.
The move will add Logimatic’s SERTICA fleet management software to the RINA portfolio of maritime systems, while its INEXTIA, FOTODOK and RENOMATIC applications will bolster RINA’s business in the energy and industry sectors. SERTICA integrates a range of vessel operations modules, including fleet maintenance, procurement management and HSQE.
“The Logimatic Solutions business is a perfect fit for us, as it complements our technical offer of digital applications and improves our market positioning in terms of geographic proximity to our customer base,” said Ugo Salerno, CEO of RINA.
“The SERTICA fleet management software has an excellent reputation and is already installed on over 1,400 vessels worldwide. It extends our capabilities and is a powerful and beneficial addition to the tools we already provide to our customers in the maritime industry.”
