Indian software company Blue Water reports that it has released new mobile apps for iOS and Android smartphones, linked to its BOSS (BlueWater Optimum Speed Services) voyage optimisation system.
The BOSS mobile app provides real-time vessel monitoring, notifications and access to fleet information on mobile devices.
Users can check vessel positions, latest CII ratings, fuel ROB and other information, and can be notified of performance deviations or critical events as required.
The app also provides direct access to weather data, so that shipping companies can review routes recommended by BOSS in relation to forecasted weather.
