Delcomar to implement InfoSHIP as part of digital overhaul

Maritime software company IB has agreed a deal with ferry company Delcomar Compagnia di Navigazione to supply its InfoSHIP application package to support the digitalisation of the fleet’s operational processes.

The project will primarily focus on centralising management of the vessels’ maintenance cycles and purchasing of on-board assets for all 10 of its Ro-ro/pax ships. The agreement also covers all relevant staff training.

The InfoSHIP roll-out forms part of a wider digitalisation overhaul that Delcomar intends to implement across the fleet, which currently operates on routes between Sardinia and its three major islands (La Maddalena, Asinara and Carloforte).

This process will involve a review and updates to the management processes used by the ships, to further increase safety levels and optimise operational management.

Italy-based IB is part of the Arribatec software group, following its acquisition by the Norwegian firm at the end of 2020.
